UFC on ESPN 59 Picks & Odds Breakdown
Pick details
UFC on ESPN 59 takes place on Saturday at Ball Arena in Denver Coloardo, and this should be an exciting card. Let’s take a look at a free play on each of the main card fights to make your Saturday a winning one.
Rose Namajunas vs Tracy Cortez
Namajunas -218 / Cortez +180 // Total Rounds: 4.5
Rose Namajunas and Tracy Cortez face off on Saturday in the main event in a flyweight battle. Namajunas was originally supposed to face off against Maycee Barber, but Cortez was a late replacement. Cortez has been impressive heading into this fight and a win here would elevate her into the title conversation. Namajunas last fight came against Amanda Ribas in March of 2024 and that was a unanimous decision victory. Cortez is a solid fighter, but this is a big step up in competition. Namajunas is going to dictate the pace of the fight and she’s going to get the job done. Back Rose “Thug” Namajunas to win by decision.
Santiago Ponzinibbio vs Muslim Salikhov
Ponzinibbio -184 / Salikhov +154 // Total Rounds: 2.5
At one point Santiago Ponzinibbio was a fixture in the top ten rankings, but different injuries have really derailed his career. Heading into this fight Ponzinbbio has said he has a ton of confidence and he believes he can make another run if he stays healthy. Muslim Salikhov is now 40 years old and although he has found success inside the octagon there have to be some questions about how much he has left in the tank. Salikhov is an elite wrestle and he’s going to need to use that wrestling to his advantage. I think Ponzinibbio is going to find a way to avoid the wrestling, and his hands are going to prove to be too much. Ponzinibbio is going to test the chin of Salikhov and he will succeed. Back Ponzinibbio to win by knockout.
Drew Dober vs Jean Silva
Dober -105 / Silva -115 // Total Rounds: 1.5
Drew Dober is a knockout artist and he’s going to really impress in this fight again. Dober is coming off a tough decision in his last fight but he has proven time and time again he still has the power in his hands. Jean Silva is on short notice and he’s going to get caught here. Dober might not get the knockout but he’s going to have no issue dominating this fight. Back Dober on the money line.
Gabriel Bonfim vs Ange Loosa
Bonfim -340 / Loosa +270 // Total Rounds: 1.5
Gabriel Bonfim should be closer to -500 or -550 here. Bonfim is going to win here, and that is going to elevate a quick climb up the welterweight division. Ange Loosa is someone who can withstand the pressure for a while, but as it goes on, Bonfim’s power is going to be too much. Loosa is going to have no answer for the continued onslaught with the hands, and Bonfirm is going to get the job done. Back Bonfim to win by knockout.
Julian Erosa vs Christian Rodriguez
Erosa +190 / Rodriguez -230 // Total Rounds: 2.5
Julian Erosa’s has been inconsistent the last couple of years and that has been a double edged sword. He at times has looked really good, and he has had a couple of very disappointing losses. Eros has a reach and height advantage and he can use that to pick apart Rodriguez. This fight probably shouldn’t be bet very large, but there is value with the +190 on Erosa. Back Erosa on the money line.
