This week, the PGA Tour travels to Texas for the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open.

The 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open will be played at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston, Texas. The golf course is a par 70 that measures 7,435 yards.

Before I dive into my favorite tournament matchup bets for the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open let’s take a look at the current top five golfers in GIR (greens in regulation) on the PGA Tour that are in this week’s field.

Top Five Golfers in GIR

Now that we have identified who the current top five golfers in GIR (greens in regulation) are on the PGA Tour (in this week’s field) let’s shift our focus to my favorite tournament matchup bets for the 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Ben Griffin +100 over Sam Ryder

Last week, Ben Griffin fired a second round 68 at the 2024 Valspar Championship en route to an eventual 17th place finish.

Ben Griffin has also posted quality a result at the Memorial Park Golf Course in the past. Griffin finished 16th at the 2022 Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Sahith Theegala -130 over Jason Day

Sahith Theegala has accumulated three top nine finishes in his last four events played on the PGA Tour, including an impressive sixth place result at the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational three weeks ago.

In relation to this week’s current listed 2024 Texas Children’s Houston Open field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Sahith Theegala ranks third in strokes gained putting, 12th in birdie or better percentage, ninth in bogey avoidance, and 11th in strokes gained off the tee.

Similar to Ben Griffin, Sahith Theegala has played well at this week’s PGA Tour event previously. Theegala finished 22nd at the 2022 Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Alex Noren -130 over Tom Hoge

Alex Noren arrives at this week’s tournament on the heels of two consecutive top nine finishes on the PGA Tour, including a ninth-place result at the 2024 Players Championship two weeks ago.

I fully expect Noren to continue his outstanding play in Houston this week.
