The NASCAR Xfinity Series will roll into the Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 335. Texas is a 1.5-mile quad-oval and has steeply banked turns. We should expect great side by side racing on Saturday in the Xfinity race at Texas, especially on the restarts. The Alsco 302 begins the Round of 8 in the 2021 Playoffs for the Xfinity Series and Saturday’s race will consist of a total 200 laps to make up the distance.
Here are a few drivers to consider for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 335.
Austin Cindric +300- Cindric comes into Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 335 starting from the 2nd position. Cindric has 5 wins on the 2021 Xfinity Series circuit with 18 top 5 finishes. Looking to keep the momentum going here in the playoffs, Cindric will look to better the 3rd place effort in the June Xfinity race here at Texas. A win guarantees a birth in the final round of the 2021 Playoffs at Phoenix, great opportunity ahead here for the favorite on Saturday afternoon.
John Hunter Nemecheck+450- John will begin Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 335 from the 10th position. Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 335 marks the 4th race in the 2021 Xfinity Series for John, 2nd in the #54 car. John has 3 career Xfinity Series starts at Texas Motor Speedway and has 3 top 10 finishes including 2 top 5s. Nemechek has been absolutely tearing up the NASCAR Truck Series in 2021 and coming over to make an Xfinity start on Saturday afternoon will be very valuable for the Gibbs team.
A.J. Allmendinger +600- A.J. take the green flag for Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 335 from the pole position. Allmendinger has plenty Cup Series experience here at the Texas Motor Speedway, with 20 starts and 2 top 10 finishes. Allmendinger’s first Xfinity start at Texas came earlier in the season in June where he started on the pole and came home with a 6th place finish. Best starting track position to begin Saturday’s Andy’s Frozen Custard 335, look for Allmendinger to be at the top in the final stage.
Justin Allgaier +650- Allgaier will fire off alongside Noah Gragson from the 6th position on Saturday after for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 335. Allgaier started from the 16th position in the June Xfinity Series race at Texas and came home with a solid 2nd place finish. In 22 career Xfinity starts at Texas, Justin has 11 top 10 finishes including 3 top 5 finishes. Over the last 8 Xfinity Series races, Allgaier has not finished outside of the top 10 and has 5 top 5 finishes. Allgaier has not picked up a victory in the Xfinity Series at Texas Motor Speedway, that could change on Saturday afternoon.
Daniel Hemric +900- Hemric will start from the 3rd position on Saturday for the Andy’s Frozen Custard 335. Hemric comes off a 3rd place performance at the Charlotte ROVAL one week ago after leading 17 of the 67 laps reeling off 3 top 5 finishes over the last 5 starts. Hemric started 5th and finished 4th in the Xfinity race held at Texas back in June of 2021 with the 4th best driver rating from the race. Hemric at a nice value here on Saturday afternoon, be very considerate.
