The Detroit Pistons and the Atlanta Hawks collide at the Chase Center on Tuesday night.
Detroit Pistons Betting Preview
The Detroit Pistons have been on fire as they’ve won 12 of their first 14 games of the season and they will be eager to build on their current 10-game win streak after running past the slumping Pacers in a 127-112 home win last night. Jalen Duren led the team with 31 points and 15 rebounds on 12 of 13 shooting in his return, Daniss Jenkins added 26 points and eight assists on 11 of 21 shooting while Javonte Green chipped in with 20 points on seven of 11 shooting off the bench. As a team, the Pistons shot a healthy 55 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line as they jumped all over the Pacers early and poured in 36 points in the second quarter to build a 24-point lead which was more than enough to hold off a late charge from the Pacers in the fourth quarter.
Atlanta Hawks Betting Preview
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in great shape as they’ve won eight of their last 10 games and they will be aiming for a sixth straight victory after sneaking past the Suns in a thrilling 124-122 road win on Sunday. Onyeka Okongwu led the team with 27 points and five assists on nine of 15 shooting, Nickeil Alexander-Walker added 26 points on nine of 18 shooting while Jalen Johnson chipped in with 25 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. As a team, the Hawks shot 53 percent from the field and 14 of 43 from the 3-point line as they struggled for most of the contest and trailed by as many as 22 points, before they exploded for 47 points in the fourth quarter to pull off an incredible comeback and improve to 7-2 on the road this season.
Detroit v Atlanta Free Prediction
The Pistons are still missing a bunch of players including Jaden Ivey and Ausar Thompson with no update yet on Cade Cunningham, while the Hawks have ruled out Trae Young with Zaccharie Risacher, Kristaps Porzingis and Onyeka Okongwu all listed as questionable. The Pistons have quietly been one of the hottest teams in the league but the Hawks also deserve plenty of credit for their recent play. The Pistons are slight underdogs in this one which is expected given that they are playing their second game of a back to back set, but with the injury cloud hanging over so many key Hawks players, I will back the Pistons who looked impressive last night.
